In September 2024, Sabor Sabor was proud to be part of the Mexican Independence Day celebrations in The Hague, where we offered a special selection of dishes to the Mexican community and friends. Our carefully curated menu brought a taste of home to those far from Mexico, and the response was nothing short of amazing.

We presented three classic Mexican dishes that received rave reviews:
Birria de Res – A slow-cooked beef stew, rich in flavor and perfect for soaking up with fresh tortillas.
Pollo con Mole Poblano – Tender chicken smothered in a traditional mole sauce made from a blend of over 20 ingredients, including chocolate and chiles.
Champiñones al Pibil – A vegetarian favorite, mushrooms marinated in a Yucatán-style achiote sauce, baked to perfection.
Each dish was accompanied by our famous homemade salsas, including the bold and smoky Salsa Machaand the spicy Serrano Salsa. These sauces added an extra layer of depth to the meal, enhancing the flavors and giving our guests the authentic taste they’ve been craving.
The event was a huge success, and we were deeply touched by the recognition and gratitude shown by the Mexican community. We are committed to continuing to bring the best of Mexico to the Netherlands, and we can’t wait to serve you at our next event.
